No, you do not need the PMP® first. Although, it can help.
I’ve seen students pass without the PMP®, but I know most PMI-RMP®’s do have the PMP® before jumping into the advanced certifications.

The key element to look at here is that you need “Specialized area of professional project risk management”. This means you actively did risk management, not passively did the work on a project.

This is always a complicated question to answer. I’ve seen people pass by studying for a few weeks and others that took a few months.
But, just like we learn in the course about agile project story points and how one teams points cannot be compared against others, we must use this same concept for study time.
On average, people need 100 hours of study time to pass the RMP®, much of this time is taken up in the 35 hour course, practice questions and practice exam (to include the reviews).
With a dedicated study time of 2-3 hours/day, most students are ready to go within 2-3 months.
Yes, and there is a limited access for reviews post-class.
